The collection comprises: File 1. Typed copies of articles, letters commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Zulu War, 1879, which appeared in a special supplement to the 'Natal Mercury', 22 January 1929 - File 2. Miscellaneous: (i) Correspondence 1954-1955, (ii) Papers re Rorke's Drift - File 3. Miscellaneous papers. Included in this file is "Roll of officers, non com. officers, and men present at the Defence of Rorke's Drift, January 22nd and 23rd 1879" and includes "a list of the 'KILLED'" written by Lieutenant John. R.M. Chard, Rorke's Drift, 3rd February 1879 and addressed to Colonel Glyn, Commanding 3rd Column (KCM 42367)
